The Town of Berskhire Town Board held their End of Year Meeting on December 30, 2005 in the Town Hall.

Meeting called to order at 4:30 PM by Supervsor Hartwig.

The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Board members present were Dennis Whittaker, Albert Warner, Jr. and Trudy Bentley.  Absent was Karl Spoonhower Sup’t of Hwys.

Trudy Bentley, seconded by Albert Warner, Jr, made approval of the Dec. 20, 2005 minutes.  Carried.

 

                                                Communications and Petitions

 

A.      Official List of officers with their hours and phone numbers etc. was passed to each board member.

CD Update and cash flow report through Dec. 2005 also was passed.  The new Supervisor will give another one showing the interest at our next meeting in January.

Have Karl draw up specs. on the Gradall to be bid out.

All FEMA money received and reports filed except the culvert on Akins Rd.  No money to do this as yet.

Call other town attorneys and see if any one is willing to be our town attorney or the attorney for the town.  The Ithaca Journal ad was way high, so we didn’t advertise in their paper.

 

                                Old Business

 

1.        Audit correction Action Plan given to clerk for filing.  If approved it will be sent out tonight to the N Y   

S Comptrollers office.  Dennis Whittaker made the motion to have Supervisor mail this report, seconded by Trudy Bentley.  4 ayes- 0 noes.  Carried.

 

                                New Business

 

A.       Resolution-New Supervisor.  Supervisor Hartwig drew up a resolution for the NBT Bank to allow the new Supervisor and her deputy Dennis Whittaker to sign any and all finanical transactions on behalf of the Town of Berkshire.  Motion made by Trudy Bentley seconded by Albert Warner, Jr. to accept this resolution.  Carried.

B.        Squad Contract received today.  Are to be paid quartlery instead of a lump sum.  Was discussed and will wait until January to sign this

C.        Cash Receipts log passed to be filed.

D.       Christmas decorations may be available if the price is good and they look okay.  Will get more information.
